The annual honorary event saw the presentation of two new phones. First of all, the Honor X30 which happens to team up with the Honor X30 Max that we encountered a few weeks ago. Second, the Honor Play 30 Plus 5G that we are now offering you, a new economical line from the oriental manufacturer.
As on previous occasions, Honor chooses to place a large screen at your “cheap phone to play with”, and also refreshes it at 90Hz to enjoy the most advanced games in the Android ecosystem. Because yes, it comes with Android version 11 and a price, at least for China, quite interesting for what it offers.

An inexpensive line with a large screen to play
The new Honor Play 30 Plus 5G has a 6.74-inch diagonal TFT LCD screen, refreshing at 90 Hz and with HD + resolution, which added to its 20: 9 ratio leaves us 1600 x 720 pixels at our disposal. . The fingerprint reader moves to the side of the phone and the Honor-mounted battery is 5,000mAh with 22.5W fast charge.
The processor is the entry-level MediaTek Dimensity 700, although it adds 5G to the connectivity, and comes with three options for RAM and internal storage: 4 GB / 128 GB, 6 GB / 128 GB and 8 GB / 128 GB, all with a microSD tray to expand internal memory. The phone hits the market with Android 11 hidden under MagicUI 5.0, by the way, the manufacturer’s layer.
In the cameras we find 13 megapixels in the rear accompanied by a 2-megapixel depth reader, which means that we will have bokeh supported by hardware, and 5 megapixels on the front, in a notch at the top of the screen. The phone also offers WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
Honor Play 30 Plus 5G versions and prices
Honor’s new mobile phone opens in China and goes on sale on December 31, although as of yet we have no evidence that it will leave the country. We will be attentive to any communication from the manufacturer in this regard. In the meantime, the prices announced on Asian territory are as follows:
- Honor Play 30 Plus 5G with 4GB / 128GB: 1,099 yuan or 153 dollars to change
- Honor Play 30 Plus 5G with 6GB / 128GB: 1,299 yuan or 180 dollars to change
