This popular app is a danger to your security and privacy, this expert recommends not installing it on your smartphone under any circumstances.
Although Apple tries to protect its entire app ecosystem in the App Store, there are some apps that may not be safe, especially if there is someone who wants to collect data about you. And of all of them, an Apple security expert has revealed which is the least secure app for users, an application that recommends not to install under any concept.
As Spylix CEO Steven Walker revealed to The sun in an interview there is a popular app that you should never install on your smartphone, whether it’s an iPhone or an Android. A company that offers lovers data on what their children do with their smartphone.
It is so popular that people might not consider it a troublesome app.
Do not install this application on your smartphone and if you have it, it is better to delete it
Accustomed to the control of data that applications do, Steven Walker recommends, at least if you want your data to remain private, do not install facebook messenger on your iphone. Oddly enough, it’s one of the most used messaging apps in the world, but it doesn’t seem very secure.
To the surprise of many, Facebook Messenger is one of the few such apps that iPhone users should never install on their devices.
Facebook Messenger does not provide end-to-end encryption, which means, according to Steven Walker, that “anyone can follow the conversations between two people”. When the message, images or videos leave your device, they can be easily intercepted without having to be decrypted.
But that’s not all, a recent study also revealed that Facebook Messenger has one of the worst software in terms of app design
So considering the security issues, I would suggest not installing it. Instead, opt for alternatives that offer better end-to-end encryption and security options.
Among the suggested alternatives, which have higher levels of security than Facebook Messenger, we have WhatsApp and Signal, which have end-to-end encryption. And of course iMessage, Apple’s messaging app is one of the most secure and collects the least data from users.
