1&1: Internet connection problems? That might be the reason

Since 7 p.m. today, February 14, you have been reporting to us increasing problems with your 1&1 Internet connection. These are possibly related to a fault at Deutsche Telekom.

This is struggling in the Frankfurt am Main area with impairments caused by a damaged fiber optic cable. According to Telekom, the disruption also affects connections in Osnabrück, Papenburg and Meppen.

Since 1&1 partly uses the Telekom network for its Internet connections and the error messages in our fault indicator increased at the same time as with Telekom, a connection is likely. It is currently not foreseeable when Telekom will have fixed the fault.
