The social media campaign was quite cleverly designed. Through various posts, the rapper suggested 50 Cent that he was working on a project that was somehow related to GTA: Vice City. But now the cat is out of the bag and we know: Curtis James Jackson III’s new TV show has nothing to do with Rockstar’s giant series.
Actually not a bad way to attract attention: A few days ago, the rapper 50 Cent published some social media posts with graphics from the cult classic GTA: Vice City. The posts have since been removed, but the basic interest remains, of course. Thanks to a report from Deadline, we now know what Curtis James Jackson III is working on. We can pull out the tooth that he has something to do with GTA 6 right away.

He’s currently working on a TV series called Vice City. Strange that Rockstar Games didn’t have this secured. Because the project has absolutely nothing to do with the open-world game. Leaving aside the setting, because it will most certainly have certain similarities.
According to Deadline, 50 Cent is working with Paramount+, Lionsgate Entertainment and Paramount Television Studios. Some of its brands will also be involved in the Vice City project. That explains the reference to the rapper’s cognac and champagne in the social media posts.
The creative minds behind the TV show have worked on things like Transformers and John Wick in the past. Deadline first outlines story parts as follows: “Vice City tells the story of three friends and former soldiers who return to their native Miami after a dishonorable discharge from the military for their involvement in the Iran-Contra scandal in the 80s. Outlaw, With no place in the world, forgotten by the country they served and no prospect of a job, the three friends team up with a mysterious Colombian immigrant. They all combine financial hardship and criminal ambitions, so they form a heist Crew.”
