One player, though, didn’t feel that way about Splatoon 3, at least not with male gamers — a player who recently spoke at Nintendo’s latest shareholder meeting, reported by Video Games SI, was stymied by the lack of customization. The option that caused some commotion by hinting at males.

“The company blatantly snubbed the boys in Splatoon, and I’d love to see some improvements,” the player reportedly said. He went on to say that while Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2 had limited options, They’re balanced between male and female characters, but “in Splatoon 3, there’s more customization and a clear preference for girl characters.
