The Californian development studio Respawn is increasingly becoming the Star Wars studio par excellence. After celebrating great success in recent years with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and its successor Survivor, Electronic Arts immediately set the studio to work on two more Star Wars-related games.
One is a new strategy game, the other is supposed to be a first-person shooter. No more details were revealed, now the portal wants Insider Gaming However, we have received initial information about this from some internal sources. Accordingly, the first-person shooter will be a bounty hunter game in which we control a Mandalorian

New hope for Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Andor and the High Republic
This is the new information
According to Insider Gaming, in the new game we control a Mandalorian bounty hunter at a time when the Empire was at the height of its power. So sometime between Episode 3 and Episode 4. As bounty hunters, we then hunt down fugitive criminals in linear levels, which we deliver alive or dead and get paid for it.
Typically Mandalorians, we have tons of small gadgets at our disposal. According to Insider Gaming, we can at least rely on wrist missiles, grappling hooks and a visor that can be used to track enemies and bounties.
The jetpack should also be integral to the gaming experience. This is intended to give us great mobility in firefights by allowing us to dash, jump or slide across the ground. The fights unfold at an extremely high pace and healing is only possible if there are many kills in succession.
It hasn’t been revealed whether we’re playing a notable Mandalorian. Boba Fett would be a possibility, but Din Djarin from The Mandalorian would be less so. The latter only gets a jetpack after the end of the empire and then claims that he last flew with it as a child.
How reliable is the source?
None of this information is official yet. All that is known is that Respawn is working on a first-person shooter in the Star Wars universe and that industry veteran Peter Hirschmann is involved.
However, behind Insider Gaming is Tom Henderson a well-known insider, who has often made true predictions based on anonymous sources in the past. The probability is therefore quite high that the information is at least partially true.
It would also suit Respawn to develop such a first-person shooter. With Titanfall and Apex Legends, the studio has already shown several times that they know how to combine first-person shooting with high mobility.
However, before EA officially announces the game, you should not consider any of this information as certain. We asked the publisher for a statement.
