The Games Awards, now considered the Oscars of video games, have announced the nominees for Game of the Year.
That game prizes, the great American celebration of global video gaming, will take place on December 8th, 2022 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. iGamesNews is again part of the jury that selects the games that compete for an award. The most prestigious is of course the one that awards the video game of the year, the GOTY, acronym for Game Of The Year.

We can see that the choice is varied, with games very different from each other. However, it seems obvious that two titles already stand out (and this is the case with the votes from editors like iGamesNews who contribute to the list of these nominees): Elden Ring and God of War Ragnarök. The second has the advantage of being fresh in memory, but the first had eclipsed literally every other video game upon its release and in the weeks that followed…
