What’s new in Android 12
Google is supposed to Android 12 make the operating system more open to third-party stores. The Google Play Store is preinstalled on most smartphones, but you can also install app stores such as the Amazon Store or the Galaxy Store.
The US manufacturer could in future classify such other stores as “safe” and make installation easier. Google has not yet revealed how this should look in detail.
Furthermore should “Ban” Google Emojis from Android 12. So far you had to wait until the US manufacturer integrated the new pictures into a new version. In the future, fonts and emoticons will be updated independently of the system.
Saving ID documents on the smartphone was already planned as a feature for Android 11, but a lack of international standard prevented this. Thanks to the ISO 18013-5 mDLs standard, the feature could find its way to your smartphone with Android 12.
Apps in Android 12 are supposed to have a kind of “hibernation” mode receive. Applications that you do not use or only rarely use should be “frozen”. This should relieve the cell phone memory and increase the performance. The first pre-release version of Android 12 could appear in February.
A new security feature under Android 12 could allow you to use a Activate “restricted network” mode on the mobile phone. Apps must follow certain rules in order to gain network access. For example, you could create blacklist or access lists for certain apps.
Furthermore should Google the split-screen function on Android 12 completely redesign. There is also speculation about the possibility WiFi passwords via Nearby Share to share.
