Almost a year ago, From Software released Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon – and now a follow-up in the form of DLC could finally be on the way. Signs of this seem to be increasing.
Last year, From Software released Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon in August and the mech action game once again received excellent reviews. However, the title was quiet for a long time, as was the case with Elden Ring. After all, the big DLC ”Shadow of the Erdtree” was a long time coming. And what about Armored Core VI? There now seems to be some movement in the DLC topic.
A user of the forum tech4gamers has now become aware of a new job advertisement from From Software, which has a connection to Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. In order to fulfill the tasks of the future employee, experience in modeling robot characters is required – and From Software only has one title on the market to which this applies, namely Armored Core VI.
It is fitting that data miners discovered hints of planned DLC content in the Armored Core VI game files last year. There were lines of text such as “710000 DLC parts have been deactivated” or “710030 Change in DLC ownership status has altered AC assembly”.
The chances that From Software will still make a substantial DLC for Armored Core VI are not bad – especially since they took enough time with Elden Ring. Nevertheless, there is speculation in fan circles as to whether From Software might also try to make a new Armored Core VII. We will of course keep you up to date on further developments!
