After a week-long race, Awesome Games Done Quick has raised more than $ 3 million.
The press release announced that AGDQ 2020 ended with a donation of $ 3.13 million to the Cancer Prevention Foundation. This donation is more than any previous game's quick completion event. Donated more than 54,000 times from more than 80 countries.
The previous donation record came from last year's Summer Games Done Quick 2019, which raised more than $ 3 million.
During the 7-day non-stop event, AGDQ 2020 ran a total of 134 games. The full running list can be found on Games Done Quick's official YouTube channel, but you can check out the AGDQ 2020 final video below.
Since its first launch in 2010, the charity Speedrun has raised up to $ 22 million in funding to date, and has donated to institutions such as AbleGames, MSF and Autism Research Group for many years.
The next Games Done Quick event will be Summer Games Done Quick, which will take place from June 21st to June 28th. Awesome Games Done Quick 2021 will be held from January 3 to January 10 next year.
