Larian Studios is not finished with Baldur’s Gate III yet. At least one extensive update is still coming and the developers have now gone into a little more detail.
The said update #7 for the super role-playing game Baldur’s Gate III is known to be released in September and will be available on Steam Larian has now revealed a little more about the content. Among other things, there is an update to the split-screen mode, which is much more dynamic. In co-op, you have the option of setting the split screens to merge when you are close to your fellow player.
In Honor Mode, your opponents will receive additional legendary actions, making them even more unpleasant. There will also be new cutscenes to sweeten your more evil runs. And there are also a whole series of other bug fixes.
And apart from that, the Modding Toolkit is also coming, which many hobby developers are surely already waiting for. A closed alpha is currently running with selected modders who are putting the kit through its paces. Once it’s there, you’ll be able to edit items, cosmetics, classes and subclasses, races, skins and interfaces.
You will also have the opportunity to test Update #7 yourself as part of a closed beta starting June 22nd. Registration is available on the Baldur’s Gate III Steam page
It is also clear that Larian Studios wants to work on its own masterpiece a little longer. The studio confirms that Update #7 will not be the last patch for the game. Photo mode and crossplay remain on the to-do list, and further revisions and improvements are to be made, with the wishes of the community also playing a role.
