Dead by Daylight has been on the market for years and is therefore considered a horror classic among video games. Now the brand should also cause a sensation as a classic board game.
Behavior Interactive today announced a board game adaptation called “Dead by Daylight: The Board Game”. This should financed via the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter
For the board game, Behavior is collaborating with the veterans of Level 99 Games. Together with the video game developers, these should “bring the intense experience of Dead by Daylight to the tables”. Ultimately, you have two variants to choose from: a Standard Edition and a Collector’s Edition.
In the default version of the board game, there will be six killers, seven survivors, and two cards. The Collector variant, on the other hand, contains a total of 16 killers, 17 survivors and four cards; this is joined by expanded components as well as additional hook and generator miniatures, which are intended to complement the game ambience. The comprehensive Collector’s Edition will also only be available in limited quantities and will not end up in stores later; for this you have to go to Kickstarter.
The board game is designed for three to five players, who take on the roles of survivor or killer. These drag figures across the board, either to survive and escape or to hunt prey. Special items, talents, powers and props can also be used to achieve the respective goal.
Based on the well-known Ringu series, the new chapter “Sadako Rising” is now available in Dead by Daylight.
