On June 21st, the time has come: Shadow of the Erdtree, the hotly anticipated DLC for the Souls-like hit Elden Ring, will be released. But today there was a new trailer to whet your appetite.
You don’t have to be a prophet to predict that Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be a massive hit. We only have to wait four weeks until we can enjoy the new DLC. So it’s just right that Bandai Namco and From Software have reached into the video shelf again today and released a new trailer.
The three-minute-long trailer has a lot to offer, even if we can only speculate about the story of the DLC. In any case, we see a disastrous affair (presumably with Marika), Messmer setting the world on fire, and at the end we also see a number of characters who have followed Miquela’s call to the land of shadows.
From Software is still keeping the exact story pretty secret, but fans of the series can certainly get some clues and speculations from the new trailer. In any case, the trailer shows some scenes that fit the previously known description of the plot and clarify it.
Miquella the Good spoke of the beginning.
Of seduction and betrayal.
An affair that turned into gold.
And so the shadow was born.
An unprecedented war followed.
Which could never be sung about.
A purge without mercy or honor.
The tyranny of Messmer’s fire.
And so the kind Miquella left everything behind.
His golden flesh, his dazzling strength.
Even his fate.
But we won’t let that deter us.
We continue to follow him.
Will you follow this path with us?
With the Shadowland, you get a completely new area to explore, packed with new enemies and spectacular bosses. There are also new weapons, equipment, skills and magic to help you withstand the new enemies.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree will be released on June 21, 2024 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
