Fortnite X Star Wars: Cult series for Star Wars Day back on the island

The sci-fi cult series Star Wars is coming back to the island! On the occasion of the upcoming Star Wars Day, there is a new collaboration in Fortnite.

The Star Wars series has made it to the island in the long-running battle royale Fortnite several times in the past – and now, after a while of waiting, it’s that time again. On the occasion of the approach ing Star Wars Day in May, a fresh collaboration with the sci-fi franchise has been announced.

Star Wars Day only falls on May 4th aka “May the 4th” (May the force…), but it starts in Fortnite on May 3rd, 2024. A suitable trailer was announced via social media, which promises fresh Star Wars content in Fortnite Battle Royale itself, but also in LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival. Epic Games initially left the exact contents open.

Fortunately, there are of course numerous reliable leakers around Fortnite, including HYPEX. He shared some potential content of the new Star Wars collaboration via X (formerly Twitter). Accordingly, there will be at least one new Mythic item called the “Wookie Bowcaster”. This will be joined by the confirmed Rebel Leia Organa skin and (still unconfirmed) the Chewbacca skin. Lightsabers and Force-related abilities are also set to make a comeback. Much more content is planned, but not yet known.

The last Star Wars event in the game also brought with it several new game modes, so something new can be expected on this front this time too. Cantina Band will probably be available as a jam track in Fortnite Festival.

With the start of the Star Wars event on May 3rd, it follows directly on from the current cross-over Fortnite X Avatar: The Last Airbender.
