It may be that you won’t be able to play GTA 6 in 4K at 60 FPS, even if you’re using the PS5 Pro and not the standard PS5. That’s at least what Richard Leadbetter, technical specialist at Digital Foundry, suggests, as IGN reported.
According to him, it is not realistic to assume that the full 60 FPS will be achieved in GTA 6, because the Grand Theft Auto games in the past have placed a lot of CPU strain, which is why they have only ever achieved 30 frames per second on the target platforms.
Although Sony says it has improved the GPU for the PS5 Pro, the processor is expected to remain the same as the one used in the PS5.
Accordingly, according to Leadbetter, it is extremely difficult to achieve 60 FPS on the PS5 Pro when the normal PS5 is designed for 30 FPS. The limitation is therefore not the GPU, but the CPU.
