news wise Harry Potter: Magic Emerges – Choosing a house and dorm
Harry Potter: Magic Emerges has just been released and as with all licensed Harry Potter games, one of the first decisions you will have to make is your home at Hogwarts. In this article we explain how to do it, but also what your choice means for the rest of your adventure!
In Harry Potter: Magic Emerges, as in all games of the license, you have the choice between the four great houses that make up Hogwarts: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin. This election takes place during the famous distribution ceremony.
So you will step forward and have the sorting hat on your head. We would then have expected to be asked a few questions, as was the case in Hogwarts Legacy: The Hogwarts Legacy. We could have also expected a feature to return.
In fact, in-game you could link your Pottermore account directly to ensure the site’s house test is broadcast directly in-game. However, this is not the case with Harry Potter: Magic Emergens! Actually You will be randomly assigned a house.
Then it’s up to you to accept or decline. If you ever refuse You have the opportunity to freely choose between the other three houses. Be careful though, as this choice will have repercussions for the rest of your game, and the dorms in particular!
In fact, when you select your house, you will get a message advising you that it will affect the dormitories. Except you might be wondering what those famous dorms are. Well, think of it as clans.
There you can invite your friends and share some features like mutual visits. The problem, is that the rules of these ranks are still quite strict
So don’t expect to be able to invite Ravenclaw players if you’re Slytherin, for example. However, it gets even more restrictive when it comes to being part of a clan. Players must have a character of the same gender!
