Hogwarts Legacy is currently hitting like a bomb and is enjoying great popularity. Additional game content in the form of DLC must only be logical, right? The developers have now commented on this.
Located in the Harry Potter universe, Hogwarts Legacy is probably the hottest title ever. In addition to good reviews, the game has also had great commercial success, which of course leads to the question of additional content.
The developers at Avalanche Studios have now taken up the topic and, to the surprise of many, have confirmed that despite everything, they currently have no plans to release DLC packages for the magic RPG in a timely manner. Speaking at the IGN Fan Fest, game director Alan Tew explained that they were simply too busy preparing the full game for release last week. As a result, there was simply not enough time to work on additional content.
Even if the first players have already played through the title, they have to do something else. “At the moment there are no plans for DLC,” Tew continued. It remains to be seen whether and to what extent this will change in the future, but at least for the moment you should not rely on additional content.
Despite everything, there is of course post-launch support for Hogwarts Legacy from Avalanche Studios. Several updates have already been released that fix bugs and performance problems.
Shortly after the release, Hogwarts Legacy on Steam had a maximum number of simultaneous players of a whopping 879,308. This makes it the single-player game with the largest number of gamers playing at the same time behind Cyberpunk 2077.
