Since the latest P9, Huawei's P series has been known for its outstanding camera performance, and the P30 Pro is currently even ranked first in our best list of camera phones. Based on preliminary information, manufacturers will strengthen this area again. Luxury models should have the same main camera and wide-angle camera. The former is said to have a resolution of 52 megapixels [MP], and because of the use of the Quad Bayer matrix, it effectively produced 13 MP. The wide-angle camera may also have a high resolution of 40 MP.

Compared to the P30, the P40's telephoto camera is expected to remain unchanged, with 8 MP resolution and triple optical zoom. In the Pro model, it should again be a periscope camera with five times optical zoom. The premium version even gets a new generation of remote cameras with ten times zoom. In addition, the Pro variant may come with a ToF sensor, while the Premium Edition even has another camera sensor whose use is currently unknown. Two front cameras can also be mounted on three phones.

It is unlikely that Huawei will change anything in terms of screen size. In addition, AMOLED displays with integrated fingerprint sensors should be reusable. These phones don't seem to have a hole punch, instead of a drop-shaped notch for the front camera. Manufacturers rely on the Kirin 990 as the processor, and we already know that from the Mate 30 [Pro]. There is currently no more information about the device.
