Assassin’s Creed is back and Ubisoft doesn’t do things by halves as these are two new mainline titles that the company is announcing. But what can the series have in store for us after the controversial Assassin’s Creed Valhalla? We tell you everything in this JV Fast!
If the Assassin’s Creed series has had its ups and downs, The License marks its big return with two episodes that are the exact opposite of each other
. The first, currently Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, offers players a dive into the heart of feudal Japan, right in the middle of the Sengoku era. At the head of the kunoichi Naoe, supported by the samurai Yasuke, you must investigate and avenge the death of the young woman’s father, the famous ninja Nagato Fujibayashi. The title maintains the RPG formula of the last titles in the series and is thus closer to Ghost of Tsushima. The second title, Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, again avoids shinobis and instead plays witches in the middle of Germany, somewhere between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Here you play Elsa, a witch whose motives we don’t yet know, but who can use witchcraft. Like Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’s Jack the Ripper DLC, a fear system forces you to refine your playstyle to avoid risking being burned at the stake.
