Publisher Hooded Horse has announced that Slavic Magic’s critically acclaimed debut book has sold over 2 million copies across all stores.
The game was released on April 26. During the first weekend, the number of simultaneous online players on Steam alone reached a peak of 173,178, and sales exceeded 1 million for the first time the next day.
Since then, the indie developer has been hard at work addressing feedback from the player base, with the first patch recently entering open beta.
“It’s great to see so many players giving Lords of the Manor a try,” said Tim Bender, CEO of Hooded Horse. “We had some pretty optimistic expectations, even some wild hopes, but Lord of the Manor hit 2 million copies so quickly and even surpassed those.”
The game has received over 87.95% positive reviews on Steam, and the PC version is also available for early access on GOG, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store, priced at $39.99 USD / £34.99 GBP / 39.99 EUR. It’s also available in game preview via PC Game Pass.
Manor Lords is a medieval strategy game with deep city-building, large-scale tactical combat, and complex economic and social simulation. In it, you will rule your land as a medieval lord, watch the seasons pass, and spread your influence across the land to bring prosperity to your people.
Inspired by the Franconian art and architecture of the late 14th century, the game prioritizes historical authenticity wherever possible, using it to inform game mechanics and visuals to create a believable world.
