The Venom Wars have begun! The new big Marvel Comics event pits Eddie Brock against his own son Dylan to determine who will be the Lethal Protector from now on. As the event’s tagline goes: father versus son and Only Venom will be left standing.
Las Venom Wars will span multiple issues, expand into nearly ten ongoing series, and from the very beginning threatens to turn New York City upside down by infesting it with zombie symbiotes. In fact, things have gotten so out of hand that even Spider-Man himself has joined the party, donning the symbiote of discord once again. The legitimate Venom? From what we’ve seen, it seems that Peter Parker will have to get in line.
The initiative started on paper in the first week of August 2024, but we were already warned last April: Venom Wars It’s a project he’s been working on Al Ewing since he began to imagine the new stories of the character and will once again have the brushes of Iban Coello to capture this dispute between father and son that, as you will see, will also affect other great Marvel personalities such as Deadpool, Daredevil, Hulka and Wolverine.
To be more specific, the event Venom War Not only does it have its own publication, which will serve to legitimize Eddie or Dylan as the authentic Venom of the comics, but it will also cause collateral effects: in addition to dividing the candidates into two very well-defined teams, as we mentioned the symbiotes have begun to awaken the dead. creating zombiesunleashing chaos in the Big Apple and, while they’re at it, sneaking into various publications that will begin to roll out within a margin of approximately one week.
In fact, Carnage himself will have his own series in Venom War in which we are already told that instead of choosing one side or the other, he will face everyone who comes his way.
How many comics will Venom War span? Of course, just by following the main series, the first issue of which has already been published in the United States, we will know how and under what circumstances the conflict is resolved. However, if we add up all the announced runs between now and October, we will have to make room for several series of staples. Of course, all with really interesting premises.

Venom War It is a very well orchestrated move by Marvel Comics given that this year we will see the premiere of the finale of the Venom film trilogy and, in turn, revalidating the popularity of the symbiotes inside and outside the house of ideas after other great events such as Maximum Carnage, Absolute Carnage o King in Black.
Of course, we have not forgotten that, along with Venom War The House of Ideas has a ton of drawers open simultaneously in 2024: the mutants have begun a new era with X-Men from the Ashes, not too long ago a new Ultimate Universe began to be explored, and in addition to the above, we have the big crossover event Blood Hunt.
If you thought the cinematic universe was in turmoil following the release of Deadpool and Wolverine, the chaos taking place in the printed adventures of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes takes the cake.
