The goal would therefore be to offer something similar to Elon Musk’s company. Here’s what Meta told the newspaper platformer
Instagram feat Twitter = P92 ?
We are investigating the possibility of creating an autonomous decentralized social network for sharing text updates. We believe there is an opportunity for a dedicated space where creators and public figures can share timely updates on their interests.
The app is codenamed P92 and allows users to log in using their existing Instagram credentials, the outlet reported. Unfortunately, details of the project are scarce at the moment. The service is still in its infancy and there is no timeline for its release. But apparently, the legal teams have already started investigating potential privacy issues with the app in order to resolve them before launch. According to the same sources, Adam Mosseri, who currently runs Instagram, would take the helm of the project.
A counterbalance to Twitter for meta

The meta project would have the advantage of being more decentralized. That would mean users could configure their own servers by setting their own rules.
