news MultiVersus: Rick, our new character guide
A few weeks after Morty’s release, at the start of Season 1, it’s his sidekick Rick who joins the fight in MultiVersus. In this guide we will help you understand everything you need to master it in your games.
Introducing Rick
We’ve known for many weeks that Rick and Morty from the famous Adult Swim series of the same name should end up on MultiVersus. But if Morty had arrived, Rick hadn’t. It is now done for him who joins the squad.
As usual, to add it to your collection you have the choice between paying in premium currency, Gleamium, or in gold coins, which you can earn directly in the game. You have to spend 700 and if you prefer gold coins it will cost you 3,000.
As for Rick’s class, he’s a magician. Understand that he will make invocations that will be devastating but will have a fairly high cooldown at times. He’s a rather complicated character to master, but one that can prove deadly once you get a good handle on him.
Rick’s skills
As for Rick’s normal skills, there are a lot of summons, which is classic for a mage in the game, but we are also entitled to a small support capacity with the spinning top in the air, which reduces skill cooldowns and which also silences enemieswhich is very strong and gives you a great advantage.
As for Rick’s special abilities, Bottom which is another disable ability turns your enemies into dog reindeer that can no longer attack. The other interesting mechanic is that of the portals, which allow you to teleport to the combat zone.
The Special Fund
In addition to all of the abilities and passives we just introduced you to, each character in MultiVersus is also entitled to two or three special perks available only to them. We invite you here to discover Rick’s.
- Pyrotechnic Squancheur (Level 8) : The portal has a longer cooldown, but allies who pass through it will ignite enemies with their next melee attack. Allied projectiles and enemies that pass through the portal are also detonated.
- Hephaestus, who? (Level 10) : When the whip attack is fully charged, enemies fall towards Rick
- Taillon Type Minions (Level 12) : Minions deal double damage to stunned enemies
