We know the devs have been sticking with action combat to appeal to a more modern crowd, and from what we’ve seen in the trailer, thanks to some very dynamic action and a lot of spectacle (as you’d expect from a spectacle fighter), Lots of high-flying and flashy attacks sure to give the excitement we’ve seen so far.
Going back to the story, it’s clear that there’s a lot of mystery and conflict in the world of Final Fantasy XVI, although we’re sure the lore dummies will take everything apart and try to piece together our hints and teasers. We can look forward to this game before it finally launches in 2023.
For my money, things do look pretty dark in the game, open-air giatn crystals, some look depleted, and a little darker than we’re used to. Combined with bloody murders and screams, it exudes a very fresh tone! As we get closer to its release date, we just want to see more of it.
