if you have dead space remake Pre-order it on Steam, and you’ll also find the original version of the second game in your library after it releases this month.
The highly anticipated remake of 2008’s Dead Space hits theaters at the end of this month, hoping to breathe some fresh air into a series that hasn’t had a new game since the release of the trilogy a decade ago. You might also find that the remake’s runtime isn’t too long, the original was only 11 hours, but if you’ve pre-ordered the game on Steam, I have some good news for you: you’ll be able to jump straight into Dead Space 2 , as that seems like a small bonus for those who have already ordered the game.
Dead Space 2 takes place several years after the events of the first game, and while original Dead Space pit protagonist Isaac Clarke was a silent one, its sequel does give him one. To be more in line with the sequel, Isaac will now speak in the remake. It doesn’t sound like it’s too different from the original, though developer Motive Studio does note that he only does it when talking to people and when it makes sense.
The fact that Dead Space Remake is so close may be welcomed by those disappointed by the recent release of The Callisto Protocol, a new title from the original creator of Dead Space that’s basically the same thing. In iGamesNews’s review of Callisto Protocol, Dom gave it 3/5 stars, saying it’s “not the next step in horror games, not an evolution of Dead Space, and not a different proposition than anything you’ve seen before – it’s Quite the opposite. An amalgam, less than the sum of its parts, its main focus becomes overwrought and frustrating by the time you’re halfway through its brief runtime.”
