Already in mid-March we can start the pilot episode of the Star Wars series The Mandalorian as well as Star Wars Episode 8: Watch the last Jedi for the first time on German television. Because shortly before the new subscription service Disney + starts here in Germany, the television station ProSieben shows the two free TV premieres from the far, far away galaxy.
When does the whole thing go? According to the official press release, it starts on Sunday, March 22nd from 8:15 p.m. ProSieben then shows the first Mandalorian episode first, followed by episode 8 at 8:50 p.m. Star Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back starts at 5:50 p.m.
The rest of Star Wars ends up in a paid subscription
All of this apparently serves as a promotion for Disney + because the Subscription service starts two days later on March 24th
The second season of The Mandalorian will start on Disney + in October – at the same time in Germany and the USA. So unlike Season 1 in this country, we don't have to wait any longer than others.
If you’re wondering what The Mandalorian is all about: The series shows the adventures of a Mandalorian bounty hunter (played by Pedro Pascal) and even if we don't want to spoil too much, a baby Yoda also plays an important role.
You can see what else the subscription service will show in our article with all films and series on Disney +. We have summarized what all this costs and how exactly it works for you in an article with all information about Desney +.
