Game news PS5: A new PlayStation store planned for France to have the console easier?
The PlayStation 5 has been hit by perpetual inventories since its inception and is still rare. To get your hands on the Sony console, it is almost imperative to keep an eye on each provider and look for the slightest opportunity to use your credit card when a refill is due. An obstacle course that could disappear with the imminent arrival of a new PlayStation store in France.

- First in Germany, later in France

First in Germany, later in France
It’s no secret that a year after it launched, the PlayStation 5 is still just as hard to find. Between Scalper, Theft and the scarcity that makes production difficult, dealers almost always have empty stocks. To give everyone a better chance of getting their hands on its next generation console, Sony has decided to export its PlayStation Direct to Europe.

The PlayStation online shop is coming to Europe! It is effective from today with the launch of the store in Germany and shortly for Great Britain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
But what does Sony mean by the online shop? In reality, it is a website modeled after the American PlayStation Direct. It allows you to be notified when a batch of consoles arrive and then order the machine at the end of an online queue. If the German version of the store is already available, the French store must arrive “soon“.
The PS5 isn’t the only one that’s part of the program
If the arrival of such a site is necessarily good news for PlayStation 5 researchers (especially before the holidays), they are not the only ones affected. Through this page it will also be possible to pre-order / purchase games in physical version as well as other types of peripherals such as DualSense controllers or even 3D headphones.
As mentioned earlier, a European PlayStation Direct is a good thing for giving everyone a chance to get their hands on the PlayStation 5. The shortage of microprocessors still hits the whole world. And the least we can say is that manufacturers are not really optimistic about a return to normal.. For example, Takeshi Kamebuchi (director of semiconductors at Toshiba) stated that chip supply will remain complicated for at least the first half of 2022.
