The French cloud computing service Shadow wants to diversify its offering and rent storage across multiple subscriptions.
This isn’t the first time we’ve spoken to you about Shadow, the French cloud computing service that lets you rent a PC. Very accessible play, allows having a remote war machine at your disposal for a monthly subscription. Well, with the aim of diversification, especially considering the aggressive offer in the cloud gaming environment, the company launches Shadow Drive.
Shadow Drive for your storage
This service has been tested by 25,000 people since the summer and is now available in 11 European countries, including France, of course. Deployment in North America is planned for next year. The Shadow Drive service is twofold, a free “discovery” offering that provides access to 20GB of storage and 2TB of storage for $8.99 per month. Note that the stored content is synchronized on all subscriber devices via the company NextCloud.
Shadow is free up to 20GB of storage. And by free, we don’t mean “freemium”: our users’ data is never sold or exploited, and we will never include advertising. A premium version of the service ($8.99 per month) offers storage space up to 2 TB.
This drive is accessible through its web interface and through Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS applications (still in beta). Visit our site Downloads for more details. As with all SHADOW services, this is a non-binding offer and independent of a Shadow subscription personal computer
