The MMO shooter Stalcraft: X, a mix of Stalker and Minecraft, is currently making its breakthrough on Steam. The number of players on Steam is currently higher than ever. At its peak, more than 25,000 people play the shooter at the same time. In addition, more than 75 percent of the reviews on Steam are positive. Stalcraft: X is set in the nuclear-contaminated area around the Ukrainian city of Chernobyl. Players try to stay alive, collect resources and manufacture equipment. The title was originally released in Russia in 2014. It was released on Steam in 2022. The reason for the success is an update from July 10th. The developers say they have been working on it for a year. This is essentially a soft relaunch of the game. The update brings, among other things, new locations, new storylines for the individual factions, a changed movement system and revised graphics. Stalcraft: X is free to play on Steam. There is no Europe voice output, but there is an English one with subtitles. The original language of the game is Russian.
