The new Toad himself, Keegan-Michael Key, gave us a short clip of the upcoming Super Mario Bros. movie, where we got a little more taste of Chris Pratt’s Mario.
Trailers usually don’t give us a good idea of the pacing of a movie, so it’s hard to figure out what it’s like, but at tonight’s Game Awards, we did have a brief but good look at the Super Mario Bros. movie. learn. The clip shows Mario arriving at the Mushroom Kingdom for the first time, all of which seems a little too much for the bearded plumber.
Strangely enough, the clip still doesn’t really give us a long look at Pratt’s Mario, even if it’s more than we’ve heard so far. I’m still not entirely sure if he’s voicing it, but maybe I’ll see the movie when it hits theaters in April, as the animated film’s latest trailer reveals.
The last trailer also gave us a glimpse of Donkey Kong, although oddly enough the trailer itself didn’t have a peep of his voice actor Seth Rogen, although we did get some Mario Kart, so at least we can look forward to some fan service flicks .
