Turtle Rock Studios has announced that it will no longer be return blood Because it’s shifting focus to a new project.
In a notice on the official website, the studio more or less stated that these three expansion packs–Tunnel of Terror, Sons of the Worm, and River of Blood–are the only DLC that can be expected for the game.
The notice reads that because Turtle Rock is a “very small” studio, it didn’t have “sufficient people to continue working on Back 4 Blood content” while it was working on another game.
That said, the game will continue to operate, it’s just that the developer will be “quiet for a while.”
Back 4 Blood is a first-person co-op zombie shooter from the creators of the Left 4 Dead series that pits you against Ridden, a once-human host of a deadly parasite.
You can also play against friends in PvP by becoming a Cleaner (one of the immune survivors with special perks), or switch sides and play as Ridden.
It is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. It’s currently available on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers, and as part of Xbox Game Pass.
