News culture The Deadpool and Wolverine trailer hides a wink for all video game fans. Did you see it ?
You probably couldn’t have missed the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, but did you notice this nod to video game fans?
If you like superheroes and especially Marvel, you can’t miss Deadpool 3, also known as Deadpool & Wolverine. Yes, a few days ago the two heroes were finally shown together in a trailer full of humor! Until then, Logan had been more discreet and sought after by fans waiting for his return to the big screen. As a reminder, his interpreter Hugh Jackman vowed never to take on the role again after he left the Xmen character behind in 2017. These few minutes make us wait until July 24th
Like a feeling of déjà vu
When you clicked on the Deadpool and Wolverine trailer, you may have thought for a few seconds that you were looking at the wrong video. You probably had a feeling of déjà vu too and that’s normal because this trailer reproduces that scene identically from the trailer for Marvel’s Wolverine on PS5. Logan’s back is there, sitting behind a bar with extremely heavy decor, sipping a drink. The only difference is that in the images from Deadpool 3 we quickly discover Logan’s face, which is quickly joined by Deadpool’s. He seems to have had enough of it already. However, it’s still very mysterious on Insomniac Games’ side. The bar is completely deserted due to a fight (well, almost). Wolverine prefers to show his claws against whoever is waiting for him
And yes ! Insomniac Games’ highly anticipated game is almost universally anticipated, but it hasn’t faded from our memories just yet. On Twitter, this little wink sparked a reaction from many people, including Hugh Jackman himself, who allowed himself a little “Hell Yeah”. On the other hand, that’s the surprise The video game studio also made a “LFG” remark (Let’s F*cking Go, based on a line from the trailer), without any additional commentary. At the same time, it cannot provide additional information about the PS5 game overnight. Developers are likely still suffering from the fallout from last year’s data breach. At least the project was not abandoned.
Is there any news about Wolverine PS5?
Recall that last year Insomniac Games Studios fell victim to a cyberattack that resulted in the loss of 1.67 terabytes of data containing more than 1.3 million files. This data was then auctioned off. These hackers had leaked numerous level designs for Wolverine PS5, a likely release date of September 1st 2025, as well as information about the studio’s future projects, including those related to Marvel. Most were planned for 2030, but it is unclear whether this theft forced the group to change its plans.
