When is The Elder Scrolls 6 coming? A question that is likely to plague many fans of the long-running RPG series. Now a leak could reveal new details about the release and also about the setting and factions. We provide you with all the information – and how credible the source is.
What a new leak about TES6 could reveal
Where does the information come from? The potential leak for Elder Scrolls 6 can be traced back to a tweet by the user Skullzi lead back. On April 26, he provided the alleged details of the upcoming Bethesda role-playing game, which was already announced at E3 2018.
Release: The Elder Scrolls 6 is currently aiming for a release in 2025-2026. So we would have to wait another three to four years before the next part of the role-playing series appears. In our analysis of the potential release date, we were a little less optimistic and didn’t expect The Elder Scrolls 6 until 2027/2028.

When is the release realistic?
However, fans should note that numerous video game releases in recent years have been plagued by delays and postponements. If Skullzi’s information is correct, it does not automatically mean that this vague deadline can be met.
Regardless of that, The Elder Scrolls 6 should finally be in full of development
condition. This means that Bethesda developers are now focusing on the new role-playing game, having been in the concept stages since it was announced in 2018. This was also confirmed by Todd Howard in January 2021 (via Telegraph). If Skullzi’s information is correct, Starfield could be on track for its planned release on November 11, 2022.
Setting: The leak could confirm what many fans already suspect: The Elders Scrolls 6 is supposed to go to Hammerfell. Not only did the first teaser trailer for the role-playing game indicate this, Bethesda itself has repeatedly scattered references to it in recent years. For example, via tweet or Easter Egg in a Starfield trailer.
Hammerfell is the home of the Redguards, who have already roamed the game world of Skyrim. In the Elder Scrolls universe, the area is west of Cyrodiil and Skyrim, and south of Highmaul. The climate is warm and Hammerfell itself has a lot of sand and some deserts.

Factions: Skullzi does not reveal what factions should play a role in The Elder Scrolls 6. For this he wants to know that the new offshoot should offer a kind of political system that is noticeably influenced by alliances, betrayals and even marriages. What exactly one can imagine by that remains open.
In previous Bethesda role-playing games such as Fallout 3 or 4, the player could always work for different factions and lead at least one of them to victory. In Skyrim there were larger and smaller factions, which sometimes had more or less relevant influence on the game world. For the main story, however, even the main factions – Imperials and Stormcloaks – weren’t really relevant.
Gameplay: The Elder Scrolls 6 should do without dragons. That wouldn’t be surprising at all, since dragons were already the figurehead of Skyrim and also played a major role in various expansions for The Elder Scrolls Online. So from a narrative point of view, it would definitely make sense to come up with something new for the next installment in the series.
How credible is the leak? Skullzi claims he got his information from an anonymous source, but he doesn’t describe it. Nevertheless, Skullzi is considered credible, after all, his forecasts have often hit the mark in the past.
Skullzi’s potential leak will also be reported by Shpeshal_Nick supported – also a reliable insider. He only disagrees with Skullzi about the role of dragons in The Elder Scrolls 6. Otherwise he describes the alleged information as correct.
