Dungeons & Dragons is a real RPG veteran. After all, the tabletop version of the series appeared in 1974. Of course, there are already video game implementations, and a new one is coming soon: an open world game in the popular and traditional universe.

The game is being developed by Hidden Path Entertainment, who previously worked on such titles as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Age of Empires 2 HD Edition. However, it is still in a very early development phase, which means that there are no screenshots or videos so far.
What kind of game is it going to be? The latest work in the Dungeons & Dragons universe is set to be a third-person role-playing game with an open world and a budget of an AAA title. There is currently no more detailed information about the gameplay or the story.
Who is working on it? The game’s narrative director is Whitney Beltran, who previously created the tabletop game Bluebeard’s Bride. In this horror game, the individual players take control of various aspects of a bride’s psyche and thus decide the fate of the character, her husband and her apartment.
The team is currently looking for support. Explicitly they need a Graphics Programmer, Lead Graphics Programmer, Senior Technical Artist and a Writer. There is no release date yet.

In addition, the rights holder Wizards of the Coast is developing a cooperative action RPG called Dark Alliance, which will be released for the PC in 2021. Action is the main focus.
