All Hyrule fans are raising their hands to the sky because a new part of The Legend of Zelda has been announced. It does a lot of things differently than previous offshoots of the cult series. But the new concept is certainly exciting.
Even though The Legend of Zelda is named after the Princess of Hyrule, the focus has mostly been on the pointed-hat-wearing Link. The blonde heir to the throne, on the other hand, has been captured by the evil Ganondorf more than a few times and your goal was to rescue her.

At the latest Nintendo Direct, the Japanese company introduced The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and it takes a different approach. In the game, you take on the role of Princess Zelda herself!
Mysterious cracks are appearing all over Hyrule and devouring the kingdom’s inhabitants – unfortunately, Link is one of them! Fortunately, Zelda is not completely on her own, as she meets the fairy Tri, who gives her the powerful Tri-Staff.
With this, Zelda can create copies of certain objects, the so-called echoes. Examples include a table or wooden boxes, but there are also more unusual parts, such as water blocks. Of course, you use the elements and objects to solve puzzles. You block gusts of wind, overcome chasms or hurl them at enemies.
Even though The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom seems like a puzzle platformer, there are fights. You can make short work of enemies by summoning rocks, or you can scan the monsters with the Tri-Staff and summon them as allies.
There are a lot of exciting ideas on display. The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is set to be released very soon, on September 26, 2024.
