A glitch that lets you duplicate items in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is making people a lot of rupees, which is bad for the economy.
When it comes to fixing the economy, we’ve all at one time or another thought, “Why can’t they print more money?” I’m not going to pretend I know exactly why it doesn’t work, but essentially, printing More money, inflation happens, and money becomes less and less valuable. As such, the replication glitch recently discovered by Tears of Kingdoms players can only herald the end of Hyrule’s economy as we know it. Essentially, this glitch lets you duplicate any material or weapon, and with certain items worth a fortune, it’s easy to rack up rupees quickly.
YouTuber Linkus7 provided a more in-depth explanation on how to remove the glitch (thanks GamesRadar), which isn’t too complicated overall, but does require a quick button press. First off, you can remove glitches anywhere in the game, all you need are two bows, and whatever materials you want to duplicate. The next step is to prepare your bow and fuse the material to your arrows. After that, pause and go to your bow menu, then choose to drop your equipped bow–but don’t unpause. Next you need to choose your other bow, and then comes the trickiest part.
Once you equip the second bow, you need to pause and unpause it as quickly as possible. Then, just drop the second bow you have equipped, and you should have duplicated the item you were trying to fuse in the first place. The time window for pausing and unpausing is a bit tight, and I haven’t made it myself, but I’d rather be called Hyrule’s savior than an economic wrecker. Maybe it would be better to try something different and cool, you can use Fuse instead.
