New Netflix films, series, documentaries and shows for May 2024 have been announced. There is still something very heavy with the new series Jurassic World, Jujutsu Kaisen, Atlas, Knock at the Cabin, Sonic the Movie…
The new Netflix releases for April 2024 are coming to an end. With the French series Fiasco by Igor Gotesman (Family Business), the company with the red N has one last gift for subscribers. This will really be the last major entry of the current month before the next films, series, documentaries and reality TV shows for May 2024 are released online. After a brief overview, you can find all future releases of the platform here. Fans of Japanese animation are in for a treat (again) because it’s seriously crazy!
New Netflix releases for May 2024
Netflix’s May 2024 releases were recently partially confirmed, but the official and more complete schedule has been released online by the video streaming service. As is often the case, the company pays attention to interesting content from day one. You’ll have plenty to do on May 1 with the arrival of Knock at the Cabin. A mysterious invasion thriller from M. Night Shyamalan with a very convincing David Bautista and of course a twist. The film Bohemiam Rhapsody returns to the legendary Freddy Mercury of the group Queen. From May 1st, the successful manga Jujutsu Kaisen will enrich the Japanese animation category with the first season of the television series, but also the film. And that is just the beginning.
Netflix’s May 2024 re-release agenda includes Season 1 of “One Punch Man,” “Dr. Stone” and the recently highlighted title “Garôden: The Path of the Lone Wolf”. A new animated series that promises something heavy and is inspired by the work of Baku Yumemakura. If you like fights and well-choreographed fights, this should (usually) satisfy you. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, based on the lovely Ian Malcom (Jeff Goldblum), is also out next month. This is the direct sequel to the series Jurassic World: La Colo du Cretaceous, available on the SVOD service.
If you were fed SEGA games as a kid, Sonic the Movie is out May 15th. An adaptation that mixes live action with real actors and CGI to bring the blue hedgehog to life. When it was announced there was every reason to be very afraid, but ultimately it’s not the catastrophe feared and you might be surprised when you watch it. But don’t expect it to be a must-have either.

Netflix programs for May 2024 you shouldn’t miss
As always, there are some big highlights among the new Netflix films, series, documentaries and reality TV shows for May 2024. The company with the red N therefore firmly believes in the potential of Atlas, its next original science fiction production with Jennifer Lopez, who returns to the platform after The Mother. The story is very realistic as it is about AI. One of the biggest hits of all time is also celebrating its comeback and is of course eagerly awaited.
The third season of “Bridgerton Chronicles” will be available on May 16th, but not in its entirety. In order to retain subscribers, Netflix sometimes cuts its series into several parts. Then when next time? The wait won’t be long as part 2 of The Bridgerton Chronicles season 3 is scheduled for June 13, 2024. In addition to the Barbarian Horror feature film, which caused a stir, The Fabelmans, the autobiographical film by Steven Spielberg, is also listed. And if you have kids, check out Thelma the Unicorn, another Netflix exclusive series starting May 2024.
Atlas (May 24)
Atlas Shepherd (Jennifer Lopez), a financial analyst Who can’t go to Yemen? of data and misanthropy is not really for artificial intelligence. By retrieving a robot that is obviously closely related to her and is the key to this rescue.
The Bridgerton Chronicles – Season 3 Part 1 (May 16)
The third season of The Chronicle of Bridgertons will be led by new showrunner Jess Brownell. These new episodes promise more than ever a relationship between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), her lifelong love that she has renounced. “To regain his friendship, Colin offers to help Penelope gain confidence in finding a husband this season. Jurassic World: Chaos Theory (May 24)
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory takes place six years after the events of Jurassic World: Cretaceous Column. The “Six of Isla Nublar,” unable to cope with their lives away from the islands, are reunited after a tragedy. Very quickly they embark on another crazy adventure with the mission to uncover a conspiracy that could bring an end to the dinosaurs and humanity.
Thelma the Unicorn (May 17)
