Microsoft has again raised the price of its Xbox Series X and accessories in one territory. Can an increase also be expected in France in the coming weeks?
Finally, Microsoft retracted its statement and increased the price of its Xbox Series X, but not globally. A first step?
Xbox Series X price increases in India
The Xbox Series X is increasing its retail price in India this month. Shown at 49,990 rupees or 614 dollars a few days ago, the console goes to 55,990 or 687 dollars. This is the third increase in this area…of the year! For now, the small Series S would evade this price list change, but the accessories can’t claim that.
In fact, the various Xbox Series controllers — which work on One and PC — are also seeing a surge (via IGN
- Xbox Series X Controller: from 5,390 rupees (66$) to 5,990 rupees (73$)
- Elite Controller Series 2: from 15,990 rupees (196$) to 17,990 rupees (221$)
- Mineral Camo Edition Controller: from 6,390 rupees (78$) to 6,990 rupees (85$)
- Robot White Edition: from 5,390 rupees (66$) to 5,990 rupees (73$)
- Shock Blue & Electric Volt Controller: from 5,890 rupees (72$) to 6,590 rupees (80$)
Will France and other countries also have the right to do this? Time will tell, but Phil Spencer hasn’t closed the door on a raise… for consoles and Xbox Game Pass.
We kept the price of our console and games… and our subscription. I don’t think we can do this forever. I think at some point we’re going to have to raise the prices on some things. I think at some point we will have to increase the prices on some products, but as the holiday season approaches we felt it was important to keep them.
