Disney+ has a number of Star Wars series and one of them is none other than Star Wars The Acolyte which will focus on the Sith.
Since we’ve had the rights to several series about the Jedi, including Ahsoka, which is due out in 2023, it’s the Sith’s turn to have the right to a spotlight Star Wars The Acolyte. This new creation should be Sith focused and take place during the High Republic, somewhere between -300 and -100 before the Battle of Yavin. The plot of this series revolves around a criminal investigation led by a Jedi Master and his former Padawan, who will quickly discover that the origins of the crimes are much darker than expected.
A cast for Star Wars The Acolyte with a Matrix star
Good news, production of Star Wars The Acolyte has just begun and it’s a good opportunity to introduce the almost complete cast. As the very reputable newspaper announced diversity
- Amandla Stenberg (Hunger Games)
- Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game)
- Manny Jacino (Nine perfect strangers)
- Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials)
- Jodie Turner Smith ( Queen & Slim)
- Rebecca Henderson (invent Anna)
- Charlie Barnett (russian doll)
- Dean Charles Chapman (1917)
- Carrie Anne Moss (The Matrix).
We don’t know, of course, what role each of the actors will play, nor do we know if this new series will also be an opportunity to meet well-known characters like Yoda. For the rest of the personalities, Leslye Headland is the showrunner and executive producer, and she will also direct the first episode. Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef are executive producers.
All that remains is to wait a few months to have other information to dig into, with a first teaser in early 2023.
