The English term “lag” means something like “delayed” or “lagging behind”. In computer networks and telephone systems, the term describes the unusual delay in transmission.
What causes lags
A “lag” is usually a connection error between the server and client. Overloading individual parts of a network connection causes problems with the transmission of the data packets. Poor system performance of the server or a client can also be the cause of “lags”.
