The extremely popular stage work Wicked will soon be seen not only on the theater stage but also on the big screen! The recently released trailer gives you a first insight into this new interpretation of the fascinating story about the Witches of Oz. At the center of the action are Elphaba and Glinda, two young women who couldn’t be more different. Despite their contrasting backgrounds, an unexpected but close friendship develops between them. Together they experience incredible adventures that lead them down different paths – paths that ultimately seal their fate as the Good and Wicked Witch of the West. The film adaptation of Wicked will be split into two parts: The first part is expected to open in cinemas on November 24, 2024, while part 2 will follow a year later in 2025.
