With WWE 2K22, the wrestling series is back after a two and a half year break. So far, the information about the new game was still a bit thin on the ground. But now 2K is moving forward: During a virtual presentation, both the cover star and the release date were announced.
Rey Mysterio is honored to grace the cover of the game to celebrate his 20th WWE Anniversary. He is also the focus of the 2K Showcase mode. Some of the most important moments in his career will be playable there, including his match against Eddie Guerrero at Wrestlemania 21.
The worldwide release date of WWE 2K22 was also announced: On March 11, the title will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
