welcome back Mushroom showwe present our shiitake mushrooms here for your enjoyment or others.
This week, with the Xbox on the verge of destruction (according to some circles), we’re wondering who exactly needs the PS5 Pro, as it’s still rumored to launch this year – even though Sony considers the base PS5 to be entering the final stages of its life (already ?seriously?).
We also discuss the endless streaming wars after Pokemon TV disappears, and how that affects our favorite franchises like Star Trek and Marvel, before wondering when live service gaming will hit bottom.
I mean, Suicide Squad definitely represents some sort of turning point in that kind of thing, right? Especially after Gotham Knights. With shorter, faster, non-online games now promoting themselves as “bloat-free” as if that’s a virtue (rather than the norm), the end of GAAS must be coming – at least in its current form.
In entertainment, this saturation of big-budget games with no clear direction increasingly struggles to deliver on their lofty promises, despite their shiny appearance. But thankfully, there’s still plenty worth your time if you’re willing to look for it!
