Ahead of the announcement of the Switch’s “successor” this fiscal year, Activision has officially announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

This new entry is planned to be presented on Xbox’s upcoming showcase next month and is currently confirmed for Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms. There is currently no mention of a Nintendo version or support for last-gen systems.

Of course, the catch is that we are on the threshold of a new generation of Nintendo, and last year Microsoft completed a 10-year-old boyl bring Call of Duty to Nintendo platforms.

It’s unclear exactly what to expect at this stage from this deal between the two parties, but Xbox has publicly stated that it wants Nintendo fans to feel “100% part of the Call of Duty” community going forward. Microsoft is also confident that Activision could optimize the Call of Duty experience for Nintendo platforms.
