Nintendo has finally announced brand new dates for the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 3 World Championships, originally scheduled to take place at Nintendo Live 2024 in Tokyo.
Nintendo shared new dates on Twitter, and the championships for both games now take place on April 13 (for Splatoon 3) and April 14, 2024 (for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe). The events will be streamed and Nintendo will announce details at a later date.
The original championship was postponed to December 2023 after Nintendo canceled Nintendo Live 2024, citing security concerns. Planed Zelda and Splatoon concerts, which were also scheduled to take place at the event, were also recently rescheduled.
You’ll be able to watch both on Nintendo’s official YouTube channel, and The Legend of Zelda Orchestra concert takes place at 5:00 PT / 8:00 ET / 13:00 GMT February 9th, and the Splatoon 3 concert on February 10th.
