Platinum Games confirmed this morning that the well-received NieR Automata has now surpassed 7.5 million units worldwide across all platforms. The latest addition to the series was the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch version of NieR:Automata The End of YoRHa Edition, which proved to be very popular and also saw increased sales thanks to the NieR:Automata anime series. It’s unclear what’s next for the Nier franchise, but it would be very surprising if another game isn’t in the works.
