Earlier this year, the team behind it was announced exile will release a new rhythm side-scroller roguelike on Switch in 2025 called Ratatan.
After a successful Kickstarter, we now have a brand new trailer showing off a good bit of gameplay.
“To make it easier for everyone, here’s a new trailer for Ratatan! All together…Rattata! Rattata! Rattatatta~~~!”
As stated earlier, Ratatan offers solo and multiplayer roguelike rhythm action for up to four players. You can also participate in “big fights” where more than 100 characters fight.
Ratatan dives into the roguelike scene in this combination of rhythm and side action. Players can groove alone or team up with friends in multiplayer mayhem suitable for up to four players! Take part in massive brawls with more than 100 characters fighting for supremacy. Defeat your enemies riding the beat of Ratatan’s addictive, toe-tapping soundtrack in this delightful, heartfelt adventure!
Feel the beat and use the beat commands to the beat of the music to direct your Cobun in the direction you want it to go. Ratatan can move freely, so use your best judgment to decide where best to issue orders, where to go on the offensive, and when to retreat. A sense of rhythm and strategy are key to surviving long adventures while losing as few Cobuns as possible!
Stick to the beat and your party will enter FEVER MODE, a feature that no good rhythm game can do without! Feel the vibrations change as the background music changes dynamically and your Cobun erupts into a burst of frenzied dance moves that will really get your heart racing! And if everyone’s party goes into FEVER MODE at the same time, you’ll really bring the house down!
