AndorThe incredible first season of ended on a suitably great episode, but there was one more surprise to be unveiled after the credits rolled. While most of this show has remained (relatively) Easter egg free, the finale deals with a tried-and-true Disney aesthetic with a post-credits scene that looks like it’s going to be key to the show’s second season, huh means you should definitely stay to see it.
But in case you’ve already seen it or are just looking for the short version, here’s what happens after the credits roll Andor
[Ed. note: This post contains spoilers for Andor season 1.]
The penultimate arc of AndorIn his first season, Cassian is trapped in an Imperial prison factory, where he and his fellow inmates are tasked with monotonously building the same parts over and over – at least until they break out. We feel like it all serves a huge unknown project, and while we certainly had a few guesses at the time, the show didn’t confirm what they were working on until the season one credits rolled. But we now know that the parts Cassian constructed are destined for nothing less than the Death Star itself.
As the credits fade out, a close-up of a machine appears in the middle of the room. Matching it Andor
While the scene is clear in its intent, Andor
“We came up with the prison and the build of the part pretty early on,” Gilroy said in an interview with Polygon. “It was like Oh, they should build the Death Star. And then, you know, you follow it forward and it’s like oh you know what We should show that. The visual effects department just loved the idea. And they ran with it.”
Andor‘s second season is being filmed and as everyone knows Rogue One: A Star Wars Story know, there will likely be a lot more of the Death Star in it than the brief teasing of season one. There’s no word on when yet Andor Season 2 is released.
