Fortnite was released on Android devices about 18 months ago, but only as a download, not as part of the Google Play Store. That puts apps in great danger because people often download apps through the official store, so Epic has finally stopped and done Fortnite found there.
In a statement sent to The Verge, Epic explained their decision as a result:
Google puts software downloads out of Google Play uncomfortably, using technological and terrifying methods such as awesome, repetitive software downloads and updates, limited builder and carrier agreements and collaborations, Google's public relations system that exposes third-party software resources such as malware, and new initiatives such as and Google Play Protect software block directly available from outside the Google Play store.
The sound is awesome! But … most it is not the truth? Apps loaded on the latest version of Android phones will shake the system to ask user if they actually want to install an app from an unknown source, and if yes, that is the last Android will ever make an argument. Anyone who's ever used anything from Continue Popcorn Time at Pornhub, and that millions people, could tell you that.
So that Epic just came out and said that, when we all know it's not true, it's not a tradition.
Or else, when you look at what the company meant something before without the obvious fact, that they are simply I do not want to pay the 30% cut by Google for all Google Play Store sales. Only text At the end of their statement:
We hope that Google will review its policies and business practices soon, so that all developers are free to access and engage with customers and customers on Android and the Play Store through open services, including payment services, that can compete in the gaming field.
That's the meat of this, too it's something we all know and have discussed about death. However, this decision was made apparently not because of Google's unavailability scary, but because most people will only download apps from the Play Store because … that's the place to find and download apps from your phone.
Please note that Fortnite was available on the Apple App Store, and took 30% off cuts, starting in 2018.
