In the trailer for James Wan’s Malignant, imaginary friends break out of life

James Wan is all about haunting stuff. He haunts houses The incantation, Children in Insidious, the sea in Aquaman, and cars in Angry 7. Now the acclaimed horror director has returned with a new original horror film. Malignant

– and it looks like it’s all about haunted dreams.

With a story by Wan, Ingrid Bisu, and Akela Cooper and a script by Cooper, the premise of the film looks simple and terrifying: Madison (Annabelle Wallis) keeps having terrible visions that depict murders that only get more terrible when they are discovered that the murders you sees, that it really happens. However, the twist makes it seem like the murder was committed by Madison’s imaginary childhood friend.

It’s a bit like that Disney Channel Original Movie Don’t look under the bed

which is also about a child’s imaginary friend who returns to terrible results in his adult life that I won’t spoil here because this movie is crazy. James Wan would probably do a killer remake. Maybe there is the idea for Malignant came from.
